Overview
During last two decades of intervention in the
disability sector, the organization has been recognized
as one of the important spinal injury rehabilitation
center of the state. SMRC has branched into several
broad areas of disability –applying modern
rehabilitation techniques creatively and comprehensively.
It has adopted the essential principle that is
returning or integrating a person to his home,
community and work to reestablish a happy, productive
life. SMRC’s core belief, flowing throughout
its operation, is compassion combined with learning
and the sharing of that learning to benefit others.
A holistic approach health issues of disability
and rehabilitation are the only sustainable methods
if one is to maintain a successful interventionist
approach. The programmes of SMRC are therefore
constructed to tackle all issues of disability
and the human condition.
