Disaster
preparedness and mitigation for the disabled:
The project is running in the district of
Jagatsinghpur of Orissa. This project is combination
of research and action. The research component
tries to identify the specific needs and issues
of the disabled people and the action component
aims to build the capacity of the disabled,
community and change agents (GO, NGO workers).

The project is sponsored by Ministry of Social
Justice and Empowerment, Govt of India. This
project targets to provide support and care
services for the post hospital disabled. Training
on independent living and psycho social supportis
also provided for the disabled.
